Sofar Wayfinder
Wayfinder evaluates millions of routes each day and alerts Captains and Operators in-app and via email when there is a more optimal path to port that takes advantage of favorable forecasts and offers significant savings opportunities. Wayfinder also sends Captains a daily RPM recommendation; in changing conditions, variable guidance always outperforms constant power strategies.

Problem
While we send captains RPM recommendations, due to the varying conditions and sometimes extenuating circumstances, they may not always follow our guidance. When they deviate, their adherence score or percentage is thus lowered.
How can we allow shoreside operators to reasonably justify when captains do not adhere to our recommendations

We asked our customers what were the most common types of situations that come up so that they would need not adhere to our guidance. These reasons would help operators contextualize their decision making.
